Todos los nominados a los IFTA 2025, los Premios del Cine y la Televisión de Irlanda

El 14 de febrero de 2025, el Dublin Royal Convention Centre será el escenario de la 22ª edición de los Premios del Cine y la Televisión de Irlanda (IFTA). Este año, la gran protagonista es Kneecap, una comedia de hip-hop que celebra la cultura y el idioma irlandés, acumulando 17 nominaciones en categorías principales como mejor película, dirección, guion y actuación.

Dirigida por Rich Peppiatt, Kneecap narra las aventuras del trío de hip-hop de West Belfast que busca preservar su lengua materna. El film no solo destaca por su narrativa innovadora, sino también por incluir a sus tres protagonistas —Liam Óg Ó Hannaidh, Naoise Ó Cairealláin y JJ Ó Dochartaigh— en la contienda por mejor actor. Michael Fassbender, parte del elenco, está nominado como mejor actor de reparto, reforzando el impacto de esta producción.

Saoirse Ronan compite como mejor actriz principal por The Outrun y como actriz secundaria por Blitz de Steve McQueen. Fassbender, además de su nominación por Kneecap, está en la lista de mejor actor en drama televisivo por The Agency.

Entre los nombres más reconocidos, Cillian Murphy está nominado como mejor actor por Small Things Like These, mientras que Paul Mescal compite con Gladiator II. En televisión, Colin Farrell lidera la categoría de mejor actor en drama por The Penguin. Otros contendientes incluyen a Andrew Scott (Ripley) y Aidan Turner (Rivals).

En el ámbito femenino, Nicola Coughlan (Bridgerton), Sharon Horgan y Eve Hewson (Bad Sisters) brillan entre las nominadas, junto a Ruth Negga (Presumed Innocent).

La categoría de mejor película internacional incluye títulos como Dune: Part Two y The Brutalist. Los nominados internacionales en actuación incluyen a figuras como Adrien Brody, Ralph Fiennes, Angelina Jolie y Florence Pugh.

Además, Colm Meaney recibirá el Premio a la Trayectoria por su notable contribución al cine irlandés e internacional.
