The Wild Robot lidera las nominaciones al Premios Annie 2025 de la ASIFA-Hollywood, la Sociedad Internacional de Cine Animado. destacándose en categorías clave como Mejor Largometraje, Mejores Efectos Visuales y Mejor Animación de Personajes. La ceremonia se realizará el 8 de febrero de 2025.

Entre los nominados a Mejor Largometraje figuran producciones como Kung Fu Panda 4 de DreamWorks Animation, Intensamente 2 de Pixar Animation Studios, That Christmas de Locksmith Animation y Netflix, Ultraman: Rising de Tsuburaya Productions/Netflix y Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl, una colaboración entre Aardman y Netflix.

La competencia destaca una notable diversidad de estilos y narrativas, reafirmando el auge de la animación como una de las formas más versátiles de contar historias.

The Wild Robot se perfila como una de las sorpresas del año. Basada en la aclamada novela de Peter Brown, la película, dirigida por Chris Sanders, sigue a Roz (con la voz de Lupita Nyong’o), un robot que naufraga en una isla y forma vínculos inesperados con sus habitantes, incluyendo una zarigüeya sarcástica (Catherine O’Hara), un zorro travieso (Pedro Pascal) y un ganso huérfano (Kit Connor).
